Christmas!

Now that Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I thought I'd finally post about Christmas. So goes my life these days. Christmas was extra-special this year, to say the least. We spent the day on Christmas eve at my parents' house. It was the perfect picturesque setting for our surprise snowstorm! Well, storm may be a slight exaggeration...shower, perhaps.

On Christmas Eve, as is tradition, we attended the Christmas Eve service. B was dressed in his very own Santa suit, courtesy of Cici and was a little angel during the whole service...which got me wondering, "why is he so quiet??" When he laid his head on my shoulder after the service, I knew something was amiss. And so our night with a sick little B began... But first, pictures of the Santa suit...

When we got home from the service, B had a low temp so we gave him Motrin and he went right to sleep. He woke up in the middle of the night with a much higher temp. Of course, now it was the wee hours of the morning ...CHRISTMAS morning and he has his first real fever. The on-call doc, whom I waited to call until 6 am (it felt like much later to me at the time), said to watch him because nothing was open except for the ER. He stayed about the same throughout the day and I must say, was a trooper. Not much crying, just a little calmer and quieter than usual. We still managed to have a fabulous day. We were the first in line at the Urgent Care clinic the next morning and were out the door in less than an hour with a double ear/sinus infection diagnosis and antibiotics.

B is deciding what he thinks about the new singing farm that Santa brought him. He has loved playing with it, and I know every song by heart.
I am sorry but I could not resist posting a pic of this matching blue blazer duo :) Sorry guys!
