Batter Up!

Since B was a little young to actually have a say as to whether he wanted a "themed" birthday party, we decided for him. I couldn't resist a baseball theme given the time of year and how easy it was to decorate. I kind of went crazy with the theme but hey, you only turn one once right? The party was from 11:30-1:00 so we grilled hotdogs and had lots of fun playing in the backyard.

"Aunt" Mimi suprised us with this adorable banner. She is crazy talented and I know we will use this banner for years to come. Isn't it awesome?!

i am seriously deficient in the area of "crafts" so i was actually pretty proud of myself for making this banner (though it did take WAY longer than it should have)
Once again, Mimi came through for us and painted this great banner for the fence.
Gigi found this great plate in a magazine and ordered it for B for the party. I love it.

I love this picture. My dad is pulling B and Samuel and Betsy Grace (B's pseudo-big sis) and Karoline (Samuel's sister) were pushing from behind with all of their strength.

Grillmaster
Sweet baby Caleb Roberts sound asleep amidst all of the noise...ah...I remember those days..wait, B never would do that :)

I had to add this picture because it was too funny. Because I am so creative (not), I also made this hat. The ribbon was too tight and the balls wouldn't stay on. So my resourceful mother was trying to hold it on his head so I could snap a pick. Meanwhile, B is eating the cotton ball.

As always, the ball pit was a hit.

Our buddy, Mase. We laugh because in every pic we take of them (which is tons), they always seem to be making the same expression. :)
Sorry Aunt Manda...I didn't have one of you looking at the camera.

We had such a great time celebrating with our friends and family. I still can't believe it has come and gone. Here's to year two!
