Daddy's Day

Words do not express how thankful I am for the dad that Josh is to B. They are truly two peas in a pod. This Father's Day was particularly fun because B could (sort of) get into the fun. He and I went to Barnes & Noble to pick out a special book for Daddy and then he loved getting to hand him the presents and help him open them.

I cannot possibly list all of the things we are thankful for but here are the highlights -- raising B to love the Lord and being a Christian leader in our house, bathing B every night, getting up with B on (most :) Saturday mornings, putting ALL of his oh so complicated toys together the second we get them, making time for him, teaching him boy things like spitting (not sure I'll be thankful for that later), being the wardrobe patrol when Mommy tries to get too girly, being the laid back voice of reason (at times :) when Mommy gets a bit high strung (yes, it happens on occasion)...and the list goes on. I didn't get pictures of the rest of our day with my dad but I am equally thankful for my dad, who made countless sacrifices for me and now does the same for B. I know I alway say this but we are so thankful for these blessings. We saved our Father's Day celebration with Josh's dad for the beach...coming soon.

  1. Hey! I have missed out on so many post....I really want to add you to my reader, but I am afraid that people will be able to see blog link then. Brooks is so stinking cute! I can not believe he is a year already. Are you coming to Alabama anytime this fall? Let me know if you do. I would love to get to see y'all. Tell your family (both sides) that I said hello. I can't believe that everyone is married now.
