Our Little Man: ONE?!?!?

As if we didn't have enough milestone events in May, we wrapped up a great month with a first birthday! Where do I begin? As I am sure it is for every mom as this day approaches, it was bittersweet for me...but mostly sweet. I kept having to remind myself how incredibly lucky we are to have a healthy, beautiful one year old and not focus on the fact that he is quickly changing from a baby to a little boy. How did it happen so fast? He is full of personality (and opinions), very happy most of the time but when he's mad, VERY mad. ;) An extremist. I'm talking laying on the floor, rolling around, banging his head on the ground. But then it's always over quick. He loves his daddy, "Jooo" (June), being outside, almost all fruit, books, "gogurt", bathtime (usually), looking at himself in the mirror, music and dancing (with one finger pointing behind him, don't ask me where he picked that up...).

We started the birthday out with singing to B in his crib ... he wasn't too sure what to think...it was early.

Then we spent some time doing one of his favorite things...

Then when Daddy came home from work, we gave him his new playset...

That night, the whole fam came over and he and cousin Clarky hung out by the slide...without even calling each other, they showed up in the same outfit, different colors!
